Questions about Panya.
The short answers are here — pick a question to open it. The full calculation method is on How calculations work, and the complete data and payment terms are in Privacy & Terms.
Getting started
Who is Panya for?
Panya’s open beta is focused on travel imaging professionals: CT, MRI, IR and cardiac cath, diagnostic X-ray and radiography, ultrasound and sonography, nuclear medicine, mammography, and other imaging modalities.
Panya is starting with imaging because that is the field its founder knows firsthand. Other specialties can follow once the product is ready for them.
What can I enter?
You can paste a single advertised weekly figure, a text, an email, a job posting, or a full offer breakdown. You can also skip the paste step and enter the full offer yourself.
Panya will show what it found and give you a chance to correct it before calculating. That review matters. Recruiter messages are not standardized, and a plausible-looking wrong field is still wrong.
The numbers
Is AI calculating my pay?
No. AI helps identify possible contract terms in text you paste. You review and correct those terms. Panya’s own calculator produces the financial result from the confirmed offer details, public data, and the assumptions shown on the page.
AI suggests which terms may be present in the text. It does not calculate the result.
How accurate is the estimate?
The result is only as good as the contract details and assumptions behind it. Panya keeps those visible so you can check them.
Federal tax is based on the effective rate you choose, state tax is estimated from the assignment state, and FICA is applied separately. Housing is either the amount you expect to pay, agency-provided housing, or a clearly labeled local estimate. Actual withholding, taxes, housing costs, missed hours, and paychecks can differ.
Stipends are treated as tax-free only when you select that treatment and genuinely qualify for it. Panya does not determine whether you have a valid tax home.
Panya provides estimates and decision support, not tax, legal, or financial advice.
Where does the housing estimate come from?
When Panya has a usable ZIP code, it can use published one-bedroom HUD Small Area Fair Market Rent data. When it has a city but no usable ZIP, it may use Panya’s median of that city’s ZIP-level one-bedroom estimates.
You can replace the estimate with what you actually expect to pay. If Panya does not have a usable housing figure, it subtracts nothing and labels the result before housing rather than inventing a cost.
Is my offer above or below market?
Not currently. Panya compares your own offers and private target, but it does not yet publish traveler-reported market rates or label an offer above or below market.
Traveler-reported market context is being built as contributions grow. Until that product is ready and properly supported by the data, Panya will not invent a market answer.
Free and paid access
What is included in the free version?
Analyzing an offer, correcting the details, seeing the calculation, saving it privately, and comparing it with your other offers are free — no card required.
Saving privately never requires contributing your data, and choosing not to contribute does not reduce the free product.
What does the payment include?
It provides 30 days of negotiation access across all offers in your account. You can use it with any saved offer during that period. It includes a private weekly take-home target, practical ways to close the gap, a specific counteroffer, recruiter-message help, recruiter-reply interpretation and updated calculations, negotiation history, and decision tracking.
$14.99 for 30 days of negotiation access.
Is this a subscription, and when does it end?
It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. After 30 days, the active negotiation tools turn off, but your offers, confirmed terms, messages, calculations, and negotiation history remain available. You can choose to buy another 30 days later.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Panya is not useful, contact support during the 30-day access period for a full refund.
The refund ends negotiation access but does not delete your saved work. Partial or prorated refunds are not offered.
Does Panya negotiate with the recruiter for me?
No. Panya helps you understand the numbers, decide what to ask, and prepare a message. You decide what to send. Panya never contacts the recruiter.
Privacy and traveler contributions
Does Panya sell my data or leads to agencies?
No. Panya does not sell traveler data or leads to agencies, recruiters, advertisers, or data brokers.
Panya is not owned, funded, or operated by a staffing agency and takes no agency money.
Must I contribute an offer, and what is included?
No. Saving your private offer and contributing de-identified figures are separate choices.
When you save a new offer, Panya asks you to choose. Neither answer reduces the product you receive.
A contribution may include the modality, broad metro area, taxable rate, housing and meals stipends, contract length, call structure, and calendar quarter. A housing contribution is included only when you entered your own housing cost; Panya does not turn its housing estimate into traveler-reported data.
The contribution does not include your identity, email, offer label, agency, recruiter, facility, original message, exact ZIP or address, notes, personal tax assumptions, negotiation target, strategy, recruiter replies, revised terms, or final outcome.
Panya keeps a private internal link only so you can withdraw the contribution later. That link is not included in traveler-facing market data.
Can I withdraw or delete my data?
Yes. Account settings let you remove all of your contributed data without deleting your private offers. You can also delete private offers or delete the entire account.
Deleting one saved offer does not automatically withdraw a contribution that was created from it. Use Remove my contributions in Account settings when that is what you want removed. Deleting the account removes both private account material and contributions.
What happens to text I paste?
It depends on where you paste it.
For an initial offer analysis, Panya removes common contact details before sending the text to Anthropic to identify possible contract terms. Names are not reliably removed. Panya ordinarily does not keep that message text, although a signed-in traveler can explicitly ask Panya to hold a redacted contract while waiting on a recruiter.
A recruiter reply pasted inside an active negotiation is different: no automatic contact-detail removal runs, and the reply is stored exactly as pasted so the negotiation history can work. Remove names, phone numbers, signature blocks, or anything else you do not want kept.
Anthropic may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days under its commercial terms, with limited safety or legal exceptions. Its commercial API data is not used for model training by default. Read Privacy & Terms for the complete explanation.
